Aleppo pepper is a dried sweet, hot, slightly smoky spice native to Aleppo, Syria. It has a unique smokiness but is not overly hot and is traditionally ground coarsely with a distinctive larger grain. It makes a terrific garnish on any dish adding that final touch to your recipe.
